The world is worth exploring.
We want our boys to grow up believing that different is beautiful and that the world is so much bigger than our block.
Travel has introduced our family to new cultures, languages, traditions, foods, and ways of seeing the world. Every journey reminds us that there isn't one right way to live—and that may be one of the greatest gifts we can give our children.
We don't travel to collect passport stamps or check countries off a list.
We travel because curiosity grows when we step outside what's familiar.
And we're sharing our family's journey in hopes it inspires yours. We travel because we want our boys to know that "different" isn't something to fear—it's something to appreciate.
And we share our family's journey because we hope it gives another family the confidence to begin their own.

Beyond Our Block exists because we remember what it felt like at the beginning—excited to travel, but wondering if we were making the right decision.
We wondered if traveling internationally with a toddler would be overwhelming. Would it be worth it? We worried about unfamiliar roads, different languages, long flights, and all the things that could go wrong.
What we discovered was something much bigger than a vacation.
We discovered that children don't make adventure impossible.
They simply change what adventure looks like.
